On 3/15/2017, Jenny wrote: "I just wanted to thank you again for everything! Midnight is already very very much loved. He did amazing in the car on the way home, probably the best out of all my bunnies, and has settled in very well.”
And on 9/11/2018, Jenny wrote: “I saw that you were retiring, and I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the best bunny ever. We decided to get a bunny a year and a half ago to help our daughter, who has anxiety and is on the autism spectrum. Midnight is everything we could have asked for and more. He originally lived in a cage under my daughter's loft bed, but promptly decided that he didn't need a cage and he is now free range in her room. We lovingly joke that the room is now Midnight's room, and he shares it with my daughter. When we are home, he also gets free range of our house. It's pretty amazing to watch a little 3 pound rabbit know the perfect layout of our house, and have impeccable litter box habits!
Midnight and our daughter are the bestest of friends. With him there in her room, she is now able to sleep through the night, and when she is stressed or anxious, she'll pet him and he calms her down. He follows us whenever we are near, especially our daughter, and comes when called. If he sees us enter a room he is in, he will literally run to us and want to be petted. He just loves us, and is the best little guy. He is not a lap bunny per say, but he'll snuggle up to any of us on the carpet and doesn't mind being carried around. The most amazing thing was now that my daughter is older, she is having to start taking the standardized tests for school. She had to take one at home, and was very anxious. Somehow Midnight sensed that, and he sat on her lap the entire 2 hours that she took the test.
Since our dog loves to hunt squirrels, I was worried about the dynamics between Midnight and our dog. Turns out the dog and the bunny are great friends, and Midnight is actually the "alpha dog." It's pretty funny. If our dog is sitting close by, and Midnight wants to sit there, he'll put his little nose under her rump and give a little shove, and viola, the dog moves! During the afternoon when the house is quiet, I often find them napping together.
I wanted to extend our thanks for not only a wonderful 'therapy' pet for our daughter, but also for a wonderful addition for our whole family. Thank you so very much!”
